Post 96 ~ Bella

I just had to share a picture of Baby Bella, my niece!

She is 6 months and weighs 25 lbs (WOW! Anna is 3y and 26lbs) and is sooo cute. Two months and I can hug and cuddle her and kiss those pudgy cheeks!

post 95 ~ New Cut

Voter turn out was low, but no matter. I used the gift card my Parents gave me to get my hair done, nothing too dramatic. I'm likin it! The streak that Mike helped put in really compliment the cut...or the cut compliments the streaks either way it works!

I miss my long hair but at this stage in my life, I can't take care of it like it needs. Maybe in a few years when the girls are more capable taking care of them selves...and their own hair, lol!

Man, my appetite has been in high gear for a week now, I've been eating everything in sight! Mike says he's the same way...maybe it's the weather or time of year or stress or ..... that we are hungry! We are trying to be more active too....maybe thats what it is.

No cooking Peer Mentor thing today, the parenting group tomorrow is pot luck, still means I have to cook but at least it's in my own kitchen. Think I'll make herb baking powder biscuits (with soy milk) and let the other parents make the main courses.

After getting my hair done and after we had done all our running around in K-town we went to visit my Parents. We had a nice visit, the Girls were a bit grumpy but Mike and I worked together and got them calmed down. After dinner we adults were talking and joking about several topics, when we were talking about relationships, my Dad said that Mike is good for me, every time he is around me I am smiling, Mike makes me happy, Dad knew that when we first started to date, but didn't let it show. That was a big thing for me to hear, my Dad and Mike didn't have the best relationship the first few years of our dating so it was good to know that after 12 years My Dad actually likes Mike...he may have liked him long before this but it was good for me to finally know for sure!

Vote about my hair!

I want/need to do something with my hair. It's at that awkward stage. We're planning on going to K-town this Sunday and I'm hoping to get my hair done too.My hair grows so fast that I like to change it up. So I'm giving my public the option of input! Lucky you! Mondays and Tuesdays have been way too busy lately, I'm glad it's only for a week or two more.

We have a date for Anna's Surgery! April 23 is the day she is going under the knife to have her Lump removed, we are all excited but anxious.... I hope she isn't put in too much pain. While at Children's Hospital, during the week before the surgery, we will have all of Anna's yearly appointments/tests for Galactosemia.

I think we are all finally over our colds, a few sniffles here and there but nothing to worry about. Since Mike and I have been taking the "No body's Perfect" course our family has been more peacefully, even the girls seem to be fighting less...but that could be cuz they have been spending less time together, that might change in March during spring break.

Post 93 ~ Monday...

Yup it's Monday, another week started with the alarm going off at 6:30 am for Mike to get up then a phone at 8:30 am from a friend reminding me I have to get up and feed my children.... ugg, I don't do mornings well.

My headaches come and go, still nothing too bad, but now I have gas pains to go with them....Wonder if I should see the Doc....but then Anna hasn't been feeling well either these past few days, I wonder if we both have a stomach flu.....yuck, I hope not

This afternoon I'm going to that Peer Mentor thing cooking club thing, this week we are making ribs, spaghetti and boiled potatoes.....I didn't choose the menu...Deb did. Last week the soup and sushi was a big hit! I'm so glad since I was in charge of it!

We put some rabbits together to mate yesterday, they will be separated later today. Pinky was put with Baby Bear and Cinnamon was put with Joe, hopefully in a months time we will have cute little bunnies....and then sell them during Easter.... that is, as long as the mothers don't eat them like other times, or leave them on the cage floor to die.... We have not had the best of luck with these females, It makes me want to get rid of them all, hopefully this time will be better.

92 ~ an off day

I don't HAVE to do anything today if I don't want to.... well nothing scheduled except playgroup for Anna.

I woke up with a headache, around my temples and the base of my neck. It's been two hours and it hasn't gone away yet, I've had cereal with milk and lots of water... so it's not from hunger or dehydration. I took some tylenol, so hopefully that will do the trick.

My house looks like a toy store has exploded... I have no energy to make the girls clean up their toys, I'll just wait till Ivy goes to school then I'll start putting away things... hopefully Anna with join me.

91~ Feelin better

Yup, we are better, not 100% yet but almost!

I've been quite busy lately and when I get time to sit down with my laptop all I want to do is read my forums, blogs and play at POGO, Sorry for not updating my Blog more frequently. I'm sure there are millions of people out there just dieing to hear about my provincial life ;D

So, I am a Peer Mentor.....Yes I am! It's true! There are people out there that think I make a good role model.... I take it as a compliment but I am also weary. I'm not sure if I want young Moms and pregnant women to "look up to me" Sure my life as a Mom has had it's up and downs in these past 5 years but I'm not sure it qualifies me as a MENTOR! But I'll try on this cap for awhile and see how I do, hopefully not too stressful.

Monday will be a busy for me, I was asked to go to GWD school and cook and serve a Hot lunch with Donna (from the bank) and then at 2pm that day I have my peer Mentor stuff, we will be make ginger soup and sushi rolls for the No body's Perfect course on Tuesday. I don't mind the course, Mike went with us girls last Tuesday but he wasn't very ....... umm ... into it. On the ride home, he was kinda complaining about it and acting like the whole thing was attacking him.... It wasn't, just his perception of it though. Hopefully he'll get over himself and come again this Tuesday.

Not sure what we'll be doing this weekend, Mike mentioned going to Osoyoos on Saturday. I got to find a sitter for Monday morn for Ivy.... maybe the neighbours....

Post 90 ~ Sick, icky sick!

Yup, I'm sick. And the girls are sick.

We are all tired, feverish, grumpy, coughing, snivelling, whining, and just plain YUCK!

Ivy was well enough to go to school yesterday, she said 6 kids were home sick (now we now where the cold/flu came from) But today she has another fever so she said home. She hasn't moved off the sofa all day. Anna refuses to take any meds so she was hurting pretty bad with the fever, finally it seems to have broke this morning.

Mike has been such a great guy, he's been looking after all of us, last night he brought home pizza and another one for tonight so I don't have to cook except something for Anna. He even has been sleeping on the sofa so that Anna can sleep with me (she so sick that she cries and gets up lots when we make sleep in her own bed) Hopefully Mike won't get this thing, I know for sure that I won't be able to stand him being sick, he'd be worse then all three of us!!

At least we have a good excuse to get out of the course we (as a family) are supposed to attending tonight, I'm still not sure how I got talked into it but hopefully I can talk our way out of it!
